Looking for more comfort and control while designing?

Home Planner for Windows and macOS offers the same powerful features as the mobile version — but on a larger screen, with full mouse and keyboard navigation.

No exclusive features. Just a better way to focus.

Why use Home Planner on desktop?

If you’re planning a full room or want more space to think and move, desktop is often the better experience. Here's why:

  • Larger screen = more layout clarity See more of your project at once, zoom in with precision, and avoid the clutter of a small display.

  • Smoother navigation with Mouse Move furniture, adjust walls, and select materials with better control — especially for complex edits.

  • Seamless sync with mobile All your projects are saved to your account, so you can start on desktop and continue on your phone or tablet later.

How to install Home Planner on Windows (via Steam)

  1. Go to store.steampowered.com

  2. Download and install the Steam app

  3. Create a free Steam account or sign in

  4. Search for "Home Planner" in the Store or go by link

  5. Click Install on the app page

  6. Open it from your Steam Library

  7. Sign in with your Home Planner account always using the same method: Apple / Google / Facebook / Email and your designs will be synced automatically.

How to install Home Planner on macOS

  1. Open the Mac App Store

  2. Search for "Home Planner" or use link

  3. Click Download

  4. Sign in with your account to sync your projects

How to Sync Home Planner Across All Your Devices

To sync your projects across devices (like from your phone to your computer), you need an active Home Planner subscription on your device. Without a subscription, your work will be saved locally and won’t appear on other platforms.

There are two ways to use Home Planner:

  1. Buy it once (only available via Steam for Windows)

  2. Use a subscription (on iOS, Android, or macOS)

If you buy Home Planner on Steam (Windows)

  • You pay once — no subscription required

  • PRO features are included forever (if you need PRO+ and higher functions you will need a subscription on other device)

  • You can save projects locally and work offline

  • But if you want to sync projects with your phone or tablet,→ You’ll need to have a subscription on that mobile device

In short: Steam + active subscription on mobile = full cross-device sync

If you want to upgrade to a PRO+ subscription or higher, please note that these plans are not available for purchase via the Steam version of the app. To access advanced features, you’ll need to buy your subscription on a different device (such as iOS, Android, or the web version). Once your subscription expires, your Steam version will automatically revert to the default PRO plan.

If you use Home Planner on iOS, Android, or macOS (via App Stores)

  • It works with a monthly or yearly subscription

  • Your subscription gives you access to:

    • All features according to its plan

    • Cloud backups

    • Sync across devices

  • Projects are saved to your account and accessible anywhere you sign in

How to sync across devices properly

  1. Pick one sign-in method: Apple, Google, Facebook, or email

  2. Always use the same method on every device

  3. That’s how your projects and subscription stay synced

If you Sign in with Google on one device and with email on another, they will be treated as two different accounts — your projects and subscription won’t sync.

Example: Sync your subscription from iPhone to Mac

  1. On iPhone:

    • Open Home Planner

    • Go to My Portfolio

    • Tap the blue Sign In button

    • Sign in using Apple / Google / Facebook / Email

  2. On Mac:

    • Open Home Planner

    • Go to My Portfolio

    • Sign in using the same method

Your subscription and projects will sync automatically.

FAQ

Q: Is there any difference between the mobile and desktop versions? A: No — the functionality is the same. But desktop gives you a larger workspace and mouse-based control, which can feel smoother for detailed planning.

Q: Do I need to pay separately? A: No. Your account works across all platforms, and your projects sync automatically.

Q: Can I use Home Planner offline on desktop? A: Yes. You can design offline — your changes will sync once you're back online.

Q: I bought Home Planner on Steam. Do I need a subscription?

A: No, not if you use it only on Windows. Yes, if you want to sync with your phone or tablet.

Q: If I have a subscription on iPhone, can I use it on my Mac?

A: Yes, but you must Sign in with the same account inside the app with the same method (Facebook, Apple, Google or mail).. App Store doesn’t sync this automatically.

Q: Can I share my subscription between Android and iOS?

A: Yes, but you must Sign in with the same account inside the app with the same method (Facebook, Apple, Google or mail).

Q: Do I need an account to use Home Planner?

A: No, but without logging in, your work will be saved only on that device. You won’t get cloud backup or project sync.

Q: Can I use one subscription across Android and iOS devices?

A: Yes. Your subscription is linked to your Home Planner account — not to the platform. As long as you sign in with the same login method (Apple, Google, Facebook, or email) inside the app, you can use your subscription across Android, iPhone, and iPad. Just make sure you're always signing in the same way — switching login methods will create a different account.
